History

THE TUTTLE COMPANY was incorporated as TUTTCO, Inc. in January 1999.  Since our inception in May of 1990, we have received nine  "Outstanding Sales Performance" Awards; "Most Improved Territorial Sales" Award; "Street Fighter" Award for aggressive end user training; and in 1999 the prestigious representative "Agency of the Year" Award.

H. W. "Russ" Tuttle III, (with over 27 years of experience in the HVAC/R and Appliance Industry), is the president of TUTTCO, Inc.  Gwen Tuttle manages the Aiken, SC office.

Russ is the grandson of Madeline "Madge" Tuttle, co-founder of The H. W. Tuttle & Company of Adrian, MI and later of Tecumseh, MI.  His father was H. W. "Tut" Tuttle Jr., former President of the H. W. Tuttle & Company which later became TUTCO, Inc. of Cookeville, TN in 1978.

TUTCO, Inc. is a manufacturer of open coil electric heating elements, compressor crankcase heaters, duct heaters and draft inducers.  They are owned by Smith Industries located in the United Kingdom.
